Back in 2012, Mark started dabbling with selling on Amazon. As a professional analysts and numbers guy he was drawn to the challenge of “getting under the hood” and seeing what made Amazon tick.
After 2 years of extensive training and research, he learned the different skills necessary to leverage the vast power of the Amazon marketplace, and turned that “dabbling” into a ¼ million dollars in sales his first 12 months. Over the next 3 years, he grew that business 6 fold.
He also works with other brand owners to help them make the most of their presence on the world’s biggest marketplace.
As he says,
“Amazon is a fantastic sales channel when used correctly, however it is also a difficult platform to fully understand. Not surprisingly, many brand owners don’t have the time or interest to learn all the ins and outs not to mention the weird and contradictory rules and systems that can make Amazon confusing to the non expert”.
Given his own success and detailed knowledge, he likes to work with select brands as a value-added partner, unlike many resellers on Amazon who he believes are predatory and more interested in their own short term profits rather than the long term success of the brand.
